Language matters.

Take a look at the screenshot here and tell me what problem you see with the language on this question.

It should be obvious to native English speakers – there are nuances and connotations associated with specific words, and in this context, it’s inappropriate to use the word “correct.”

If you are responsible for an applicant tracking system or application process, please be sure your system doesn’t use the phrase “correct race/ethnicity” anywhere.

I reached out to the company about this and hope to see 1) a response to my concern, and 2) an appropriate change.
